Why Can’t Success Be Easy?

Why Can’t Success Be Easy?

There are very few things in life that are easy, even for those of us who are fully able. Just getting through each day can be a great effort for some of us, so someone telling you to follow your dreams might seem to be an impossible task especially when just earning a living or taking care of your children is already hard work and so consuming of your time, we at bemoreeffective.com would truly advise you to follow your dreams.

Almost every Personal Development Guru says, “Follow your dreams!” And yet not everyone does it. Life interjects, bills pile up, and sometimes we have to do jobs we don’t want to do just to make it through the week. However, there are a number of reasons to follow your dreams, to break the trend, and to live the life you’ve always wanted. Don’t just sit there and let time flow by or before you know it a month, a year, ten years will have flown by. Pink Floyd in their song Time say;

“You are young, and life is long and there is time to kill today. And then one day you find ten years have got behind you. No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.”

Our dreams are what can get us through even the worst days. If we are struggling, dreams are the reason to keep going. Dreams are why we wake up in the morning and try again, they are what makes our entire life worth living. Without our dreams, we are nothing.

Without our dreams we will never aspire to anything better and even worse those around us will see that we don’t aspire to anything more and so in the case of children we can influence them to accept mediocrity as the norm and dreams as unnecessary.

However, living everyday life and still following our dreams and more importantly being seen to follow our dreams can turn us into a source of inspiration to others because when you are motivated and excited about pursuing your dreams you’ll attract other people who have the same values and interests.

The more you surround yourself with likeminded people, the further you’ll go. Then, when times get tough, and it’s hard to keep going, your friends and your children will motivate you to continue achieving or simply aspiring to follow your dreams.

In turn when you are this motivated, it’s very hard to fail. When motivated failing is simply failing forwards because you learn, life is live research and development. If you are very set on your dreams, and you make sure that you can make an income along the way, you’ll be able to provide for your family, whilst working on your ambitions. Some dreams take longer than others to achieve, and while that often makes the end goal so worthwhile it is also true that the journey itself is the joy – becoming a success happens on the journey – our character changes, our behaviour changes, our habits and skills improve – all that happens on the journey and not at the end.  The result is a by product of the improvements we made along the way.

The success comes from doing the right things, well enough, often enough

In the end all we can do is follow our dreams by aspiring to better things, by putting in the effort, by learning and adapting along the way. Our hard work will pay off along the journey, often in ways we didn’t plan or expect. Sometimes we reach our original goal that we set out to achieve. Sometimes we end up achieving something different.
